DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT
Needles used in acupuncture are very thin, stainless steel and disposable. The sensations patients experience during treatments range from nothing at all to a slight ache, pinch, dullness or heaviness in the area being needled. These sensations are normal and usually quickly subside either during or after the treatment.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
The first visit is the opportunity for your provider to gather information about your condition. After assessment and discussion of the patient's health concerns, the treatment plan will be prepared. Then the acupuncture session will be performed, which usually last about 45-50 min, one to three times per week, depending on the condition.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This is unique to each individual. Treatments are designed according to each individual's condition. The number of treatments are determined by how acute or chronic your condition. Some patients may begin noticing improvements in their symptoms after 2 session, while others will need 5-15 treatments to achieve desired results.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
